Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous body under the ministry of human resource development, Govt. of India,. has set pace in education, maintained excellent standard of education with appropriate teacher- pupil ratio, common syllabus & bilingual medium of instruction etc. Kendriya Vidyalaya, INS Rajali, Naval Air Station, Arakkonam is one of the over 900 Kendriya Vidyalayas mainly catering to the educational needs of Indian Navy and other Central Government establishments in and around Arakkonam.
Sprawling in an area of 15 acres, the school is situated inside INS RAJALI Campus at a distance of 3 K.M south of ARAKKONAM junction (69 km from Chennai Central) Established in 1992, this school has been performing very well including getting all India ranks in the Board examinations.
The Kendriya Vidyalayas have a four fold mission, viz.,
1.To cater to the educational needs of children of transferable central government employees including defense and Para-military personnel by providing a common programme of education.;
2.To pursue excellence and set the pace in the field of school education;
3.To initiate and promote experimentation and innovations in education in collaboration with other bodies like the central board of secondary education (CBSE) and the national council of educational research and training (NCERT) etc. and
4.To develop the spirit of national integration and create a sense of Indian ness among children.
